Remanufacture

The Ormrod remanufacture process, perfected over the past two and a half decades, is unique in the industry and involves a total strip and inspection of the engine and alternator.

Close liaison with the original manufacturer, built on mutual respect, ensure all the latest design modifications are incorporated in the rebuild enabling the finished product to meet current production engine efficiencies and reliability.

Strip, inspection and rebuild are witnessed by an independent insurance inspector who underwrites the full factory type warranty.

Client and classification society inspections are also welcome.

When completed the generating set is zero hours rated and is guaranted to have the life expectancy of a new production engine.

On Site Services

OPWI offers a wide range of 'on site' services including major overhauls, replacement of exchange of major engine components under our exchange program, upgrades of auxillary equipment, Design and conversions for operation on heavy fuel oil or natural gas, re-location of engines, equipment and complete power stations, construction of engine foundations. Training

Increasing complexity in power generation equipment requires a highly trained multi-skilled workforce to meet operational demands.

OPWI can provide within a "BOOT" scheme or any of thier customised financing packages, a balenced training program which carefully blends a practical 'hands on' approach with tutorial support. This can be complimented by training programs arranged by the ancillary equipment suppliers for items such as switch gear, fuel injection and turbochargers.

This service can be supplied as part of the contract package.
